Mission Lenten Project:
"Plenty to Share"
Join us in spreading generosity and making a positive impact on our community through the Mission Lenten Project. This year's initiative, "Plenty to Share" aims to support our hands-on mission partners by collecting non-perishable items essential for their outreach efforts. During the Lenten season we invite you to select items from the list below and return them to Hilltop House or the Sanctuary February 18 - March 10, 2024. Your generosity will make a difference to the guests of Family Promise, Table of Hope, Homeless Solutions, Nourish Now and the Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry Network.
Items Needed:
Paper Products (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags)
Small 8 oz water bottles, coffee
Granola bars (no nuts)
1-3 compartment take-out containers
6x6 clam shell to go containers
Full size foil pans
Disposable knives and forks
Cleaning Supplies
Laundry detergent, dish soap
Laundry pods
Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash
Toothpaste, Toothbrushes
Disposable razors, Q-tips
Bed pillows (only new)
Twin blankets - no throws

nourish.NJ creates lasting solutions to the problems of hunger, homelessness and poverty. They offer food, housing, work readiness, medical, social and educational services free of charge, no questions asked.

Table of Hope
Table of Hope is a community kitchen offering dinner at no cost to families in need.

Homeless Solutions
Homeless Solutions gives those they serve the tools they need to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. They provide housing in a continuum from emergency shelter to transitional housing to affordable housing.

Interfaith Food Pantry
The IFP Network distributes food from their distribution center and warehouse, through mobile pantries, home deliveries, and farmers’ markets.

Family Promise
Family Promise of Morris County helps local communities coordinate their compassion to address the root causes of homelessness and housing insecurity. It provides prevention services, case management, and support towards independence.
ACTNow! Youth Fellowship educates and organizes Morris County youth so they can better participate as volunteers for Christian-based mission projects. Hilltop members, adults and youth, travel to Appalachia with other churches to make homes warmer, safer, and drier.

Camp Johnsonburg
The mission of the Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center is to provide a place apart where all people can experience God’s love within a welcoming Christian community. Established in 1959 to provide experiential Christian education in support of the Presbyterian Church in New Jersey, Johnsonburg today is a place where all people are valued equally, and where everyone is encouraged to take another vital step toward realizing oneness in Christ.
Youth Mission
A Light for Zimbabwe
Hilltop’s children have supported a community in Zimbabwe for many years. From sponsoring children’s school tuition to building a community garden, our children’s mission engages our youngest members in service.
