Hilltop Youth and Family Ministries
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” - 3 John 1:4
At Hilltop, it is a joy and privilege to walk alongside children as they discover God’s love and and grow in faith. We integrate children and youth into almost every aspect of our church life, believing that worshiping, learning, and serving along with them is the best way to encourage lifelong discipleship. We love our kids!

Sunday School
The morning starts at our 10:00 worship service, where children gather with their families for the opening. Then children in grades K-7 leave just before the sermon for a special time of learning about the Bible and Jesus’ love for us. The Sunday School lesson is about the same scripture passages we use in church, so children and parents can each tell the other about what they learned on Sunday morning.
Milestones of Faith
We have 5 milestones to celebrate the journey our young people make as they grow in faith: Baptism, Move-Up Day, Christian Bible and Worship Class for 3rd Graders, Confirmation, and High School Graduation.
Confirmation Class is for youth in 8th grade or above. Participants learn what it really means to be a Christian so they can make their own choices about their path to discipleship. After successfully completing the class, the youth are ready to become official voting members of Hilltop Church.
Hilltop Quest
After-School Enrichment Program
In Hilltop Quest, we seek to better understand the natural world and it’s Creator. This popular after-school program is returning in fall 2025 with an enrichment component! Each session, students can expect a snack, a STEM activity, a related Bible lesson, and a craft! This weekly Monday program is for grades K-4. Due to its popularity among families in the church and surrounding community, capacity is limited. Register today!
Youth Groups for Middle and High School
Energizing our youth programs for students from 5th through 12th grade is a top priority for Peter, our new full time Director of Family & Community Ministries. For the fall of 2025, he’ll integrate our youth groups with friends from four other Mendham churches. Join us for food, fun, and fellowship!
Youth Missions
Hilltop has a tradition of youth serving the community through organizations like the Interfaith Food Pantry, Homeless Solutions, and more. The highlight of the year is the weeklong summer mission trip with the Appalachian Service Project, where students work to make homes safer, drier, and warmer in Appalachia. It’s an experience you’ll never forget!
