Opportunities to get involved

Please help make our children’s programs great!  There are opportunities available to fit many different interests and schedules.  It’s a great way to make friends in the church and have fun with your children!  Check off any areas of interest and we will contact you. 

   **All volunteers working directly with children must complete the Volunteer Registration Form and Exhibits A&B of the Child Safety Policy.  If you have filled out these forms in the past, they are on file and need not be filled out again.** You can pickup forms at the church office or find them online at www.hilltopchurch.org.

TEACHING
    Teacher: 2 hours/month.  Teachers plan and lead Sunday School lessons, at least once a month.  The time commitment is about an hour of planning time during the week prior to teaching, and the hour that you teach on Sunday morning (although you may enjoy it so much you’d like to do more!). All lessons and supplies are provided.

Teaching Assistant:  1 hour/month or more, as you wish.  Assistants help the lead teacher in conducting the class.  The time commitment is one hour after church, on whichever days you choose.  Grade preference: .

 Children’s Church Assistant: 1 hour/month during the worship hour. Escort the children to Hilltop House after the Children’s Word, assist with activities and Children’s Church worship time.

Office and Planning Support

Christian Education Committee – 2 hrs./month, during the school year.  Become involved in the planning and decision making of the programs being offered to our families such as Sunday school, Children’s Church, youth groups and activities

Encouragement Cards and letters – 1 hr./month.  Send out postcards to wish children “Happy Birthday”, “We’re glad you came,” etc.  Also thank you’s and encouragement to teachers.
CE Supplies – Help organize the CE supply closet and prepare materials for lessons.
