SCEEP Tutors
(Suburban Cultural Educational Enrichment Program)
The SCEEP program gives Sr. Highs the chance to make a difference in the lives of kids from Newark by tutoring them on Saturday mornings @ Hilltop House. High school tutors receive service credits for their time. Please contact the office for more info - 973.543.4012, ext. 10

Confirmation Information

Congratulations to the 2007-08 Confirmation Class who were received as members of Hilltop Church and confirmed on May 18.  The students met regularly on Sunday afternoons with Pastor Diane and Bruce Dunham, assisted in worship services, helped with Children’s Church, and did at least four service projects each.  The class finished up with a weekend retreat at Camp Johnsonburg, and the planning and leading of the 11 am worship service on Youth Sunday, May 11.

 

Our new confirmands are:  Kelsey Berish, Kevin Button, Blythe Clinedinst, Brandon DeGraff, John Haumersen, Nick Lamont, Sam Richards, Andy Schonberg, Becky Snelson, Seth Valenziano, Amelia Whiting.

 

The next Confirmation Class will begin in September, 2008.  All students 8th grade and above are eligible to take the class.  Specific information about orientation and class schedule will be available soon.

College Scholarships

Wilma and Herb Fischer Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established by the Fischers with the goal of providing financial support for college to active participants in Hilltop Church. An informational meeting for interested High School Seniors is held each year in the Spring.  Applications are due in early May.  For more information, call the Church Office at (973) 543-4012, ext. 10.

National Presbyterian College Scholarship
This scholarship is available for High School Seniors preparing to enter as a full-time incoming freshmen at one of the participating colleges/universities related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Applicants must be a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), be a U.S. citizen, and demonstrate financial need.
